Recently discovered some mira tokens given here by xlog, so I wanted to convert them to USDT, but I was struggling because I didn't have enough MATIC to pay for the gas fees - the gas fees on Polygon have really increased.
Finally, with the support of some faucet websites, I was able to successfully convert them. Recording the process.
Conversion#
Refer to the official tutorial.
FAUCET Websites#
The main website that provided help is:
This website provides many free faucets for various cryptocurrencies. I applied twice on this website and received about $0.015 worth of MATIC each time. The interval is three days. Just need to send out a tweet (similar to how you get CSB)
Exchange to USDT#
Of course, with only 0.03 MATIC, it's not enough to cover the gas fees for the conversion and swap. So how did I successfully exchange them?
- First, the cost of conversion alone is affordable, so I transferred mira to the Polygon mainnet first;
- Then, I used Uniswap to convert 1 mira to 1 USDC. The reason for converting to USDC is that the gas fees for conversion are lower;
- After that, we can use the Swap for Gas Token on the Polygon official website to convert some USDC to MATIC (without paying gas fees)
- After having enough MATIC, I then converted the remaining MIRA to USDT.
Relay#
Now I have some Polygon MATIC, if anyone needs it, I can provide some (around 0.1) MATIC for free, for everyone to use as gas fees for operating MIRA extraction and conversion to USDT, until my MATIC balance is empty.
